The wool of the Armenian Gampr dog is thick, dense, short, in shaggy Gampr closer to the Alabai than to the Caucasian Shepherd Dogs. Such a fur coat perfectly protects the dog both from the heat of the valleys and from high-altitude frosts, and also serves as a shield against wolf’s fangs. Forms a small feather on the tail. The color is zonal, sand with a black mask on the face. Colors other than lilac and brown are also acceptable.
