The Weimaraner is proportionally built, its back is wide, solid, strong, without bending. The withers are well developed and clearly marked. The chest is deep, firm, almost reaching the elbows. It is obviously massive, but it cannot be called wide. The pelvis is elongated, slightly sloping. The ribs are long, well sprung, without barrel-shaped. The belly is tucked up, but not overdone.
