The most famous literary work about bohemians and their loyal dogs is the novel Psoglavtsy by the outstanding Czech writer of the 19th and 20th centuries, Alois Jirasek, illustrated by the famous Czech artist Nicolas Ales. Thanks to the wonderful illustrations by Alyosha, you can even now personally examine the exterior of the old Chod dogs. It must be said that in his sketches, drawings, and illustrations, as well as when decorating the graffiti of the walls of Prague mansions, Mikolash Ales has repeatedly used the unique appearance of Bohemian Shepherd Dogs, clearly having a special love for them.
