The colors of the Australian Cattle Dog are varied and very original. The main shade is blue, however, the dog is rarely monotonous – as a rule, a feeling of gray hair or frost is created, and light specks or specks can also be scattered over the body. In addition, the specks can be red, then the general tone of the dog is caramel. Tricolor and tan colors are possible; symmetrical black, red and/or white spots may be present on the muzzle.
