The bolognese has a compact body with well-arched ribs and a deep sternum. They have a straight back and a slightly arched loin. The hind legs are well-muscled and well built. Their paws are oval in shape with black claws and pads. The tails are well furred and set at the level of the dog’s croup, which they wear curved at the back.
