Representatives of the Hügenstevare breed are beautiful and strong dogs with a strong constitution. These are the owners of powerful jaws and a massive head with drooping ears rounded at the tips. The long tail of the Hügen hound never rises above the backline. The body is covered with short dense wool of various colors. In particular, it is a reddish main background with white and black inclusions, black and tan color with white markings, or colored spots (red, brown, black) on a white background.
