Legend has it that the Norwegian gray Elkhund was bred approximately 7,000 years ago. Archaeologists provide evidence of the fossilized remains of this rock, which were located near the Viking burials. Dogs were used for hunting, as they have one of the sharpest olfactory apparatus. They hunted a wolf, a bear, a lynx, an elk with them. Since then, practically nothing has changed and the Norwegian gray Elkhund has remained a loyal friend of the hunter.
