Labradors outnumber any other dog breed in at least the following countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Israel, Sweden, Finland, Great Britain and the United States. Moreover, in the last two countries, the number of Labradors is more than 2 times higher than the most popular breed that follows it. In the United States, Labradors have been in the lead since 1991. In recent years, about 120 thousand Labradors have been registered in the United States every year. In the US, 60-70% of guide dogs are Labrador Retrievers.
