Despite their world-renowned ability to run and survive in snow-covered regions, the Alaskan Husky is currently not registered with the AKC (American Kennel Club) and is therefore considered an unrecognized and rare breed of dog. In fact, this is not a breed, but a mixed group, consisting of a mixture of various aboriginal dogs, selected for working qualities, with more or less blood of hunting cop breeds, as well as Siberian huskies and malamutes.
