Blue Lacy or Lacy dog – breed working dog, originated in Texas in the mid-19th century. The only dog breed from this state. The blue lace was first recognized by the Texas Senate in 2001. By decision of the Senate No. 436, 77, the meeting gave Lacey the honorary title of “True Texas breed”. In June 2005, Governor Rick Perry signed into law the Lacey as the “Official Texas breed.”
