The very ancient history of the Ivesian greyhound, with which the pharaohs of ancient Egypt hunted, goes back to about 3400 BC. e. During the first dynasty (3100 – 2700 BC) Pharaoh Hemako lived, and after his death, he was buried in a tomb near Sagara. During its excavations, among other things, a dish with the image of the Ivis greyhound was discovered. Found and other items confirm the existence of this dog in ancient times.
