The Indian Spitz was one of the most popular dogs in India during the 1980s and 1990s when India’s import regulations made it very difficult to import dogs of other breeds. Today, despite being overshadowed by other breeds like the Pugs and Lhasa Apso, they dominate and thrive as one of the most economical yet cuddly pets.
