The Indian Spitz was introduced to India by the British, who began to breed them from a group of German Spitz. The breeding years have produced an ideal dog suited for the plains of India and capable of withstanding India’s sweltering climate. These Spitz resembled Samoyeds and German Spitz, but had less thick coats and were smaller in size – ideal for conditions.
