The American Cocker Spaniel needs regular grooming. The pride of these dogs is that their thick, silky coat is quite easy to get tangled, so it is better to clean the dog daily, especially if your pet is a participant in exhibitions. Cocker hair is also trimmed regularly (there are several standardized haircut options for the show). Dogs are cut about four times a year.
