So, in 1922, in the tomb of Tutankhamun, a full-length statue of the divine Anibus – “Guard dog of the dead” was found, which was an exact copy of the current Ivesian greyhound. This perfectly preserved statue was covered with resins and varnishes, and the eyes were made of obsidian – black and mirror-smooth volcanic rock. The inner sides of the ears were framed with gilding, and on the statue was a beautiful gold collar.
