Norwegian Elghund is a versatile dog, with equal success performing hunting, herding, guarding functions, and even being used as a transport animal. Interestingly, the indigenous peoples of Lapland use the Elghund for herding reindeer, and the dog does an excellent job with these duties, at first glance, contrary to its hunting nature.
