Ambul belongs to large dogs. Variability is a key feature of this breed. Its representatives differ from each other in many characteristics. Despite the existence of two lines – classic (Johnson) and standard (Scott) -, the appearance of modern dogs combines the features of both. If we consider each type separately, it can be noted that Johnson’s ambulances are squatter and larger than they resemble their fellow English bulldogs. Dogs of the standard type bear more similarities with the American Pit Bull Terrier.
